Mylo's first grooming

Antonia of http://www.woofwoofderby.co.uk/ came around in her big grooming van and gave Mylo his first wash and blow dry since I have had him. He behaved himself and I think he enjoyed most of it except the blow drying. This is what he looked like afterward

Mylo

OMG I have been rushed off my feet with Mylo taken him out every day got him a 30foot lead and like a numpty played football with him and yes he pulled and I went smack, hit the ground running. Bruises everywhere pain in the hip the chest, neck and a headache that won't go away. But otherwise feel great and have lost more weight. So I recommend if you want to lose weight forget the gym get a dog.

I think Mylo is settling in certainly finding what he can bite loves to grab anything plastic or little twigs and won't let me have them. He cost me some money this month. Not to happy with the vets that neutered the rescue took him to their vets. They made a right mess of his belly, which they had to cut into because one of his testicles had not dropped and they have to go in through the belly. Will have my own vet check him over later this month and see if its all ok.

At least the weather is beautiful and with all the sunshine I'm able to take him out to the parks trying to train him, getting him used to people and other dogs which he's not to good with.

Mylo' s Filofax

Had to put my Dog Holly down a few weeks ago and realised the house was way to quiet. So I got a rescue dog 10 month old
 Mylo

I have decided to use my other Filofax, my Black Metropol Zip for all his paperwork, I'm slowly sorting it out deciding what the dividers will be for. Using my old plain dividers at the moment so at the moment it go like this:-
Vaccination
Annual Pet Care
Pet plan Insurance
Microchip
Pet Details and vet receipts
Phone Numbers and Addresses

Going to take a lot more photos, print them out and laminate and make them into dividers. I won't need a diary part will just use my every day filo for that.
Using the zipped filo for this makes it easier to put loose papers in as they don't fall out.

I love setting a filofax up. Hope to have photos soon

The Gym

Does anyone else lose that urge to keep going to the gym, even though I know that it's good for me especially after the "event" as the rehab nurses like to call it. It was much more fun going to cardio rehab for my exercises also they did talks on your heart, diets, medicines and exercise which was really quiet interesting. Then we'd have an hour of cardio exercise which I really enjoyed.

But now its an hour of doing it on your own treadmill, bike, rower, treadmill again. Oh the excitement!
Not been for a fortnight because of muscular pains, but will push myself to go tomorrow, need to get into shape for my brothers birthday party, don't want to let the side down.

Think I will start my Metropol filofax up for my exercise and diet but that's another blog

Elvaston walk

I love taking photo's where ever I go. My husband and I went for a walk around Elvaston Castle  a couple of years ago and using a cannon camera my brother gave me I took these photos.

Here is Your Mission

Found this on Facebook thank you Awoken-to-ONENESS

1. YOU WILL RECEIVE A BODY

You may like it or not, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.

2. YOU WILL LEARN NEW LESSONS

You are enrolled in a full-time, informal school called Life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think they are irrelevant and stupid.

3. THERE ARE NO MISTAKES, ONLY LESSONS

Growth is a process of trial and error, experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much about the process as the experiment that ultimately “works.”

4. A LESSON IS REPEATED UNTIL IT IS LEARNED

A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it, then you can go onto the next lesson.

5. LEARNING LESSONS DOES NOT END

There is no part of life that does not contain lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to learn.

6. “THERE” IS NO BETTER THAN “HERE”

When your “there” becomes “here” you will simply obtain another “there” that will, again, look better then “here.” So love HERE and NOW, because that is all that matters!

7. OTHERS ARE MERELY MIRRORS OF YOU

You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you have loved or hated about yourself.

8. WHAT YOU MAKE OF YOUR LIFE IS UP TO YOU

You have all the tools and resources you need, what you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours. No one else is to blame, you must take responsibility for your own actions and choices.

9. THE ANSWERS LIE INSIDE OF YOU

The answers to life’s questions lie inside of you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10. WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN OR CAN’T, IN ANY CASE YOU’LL BE RIGHT.♥

Life update

Well I'm posting this now because I had started another blog, but I thought I can't be worrying about to many blogs. So to start off my diary in this blog I am putting a short update of all that happened last year 2012.

March time my husband began his holiday from work and from the first day he had a stroke. Oh not just a mild stroke which could just last for 24 hours, but a really bad one.
A blood clot had broken from his neck and traveled up to the brain lodging its self in the area of the stem that connects the left and right parts of the brain.
At first it was touch and go, but after a few days they had him stable. This in turn caused him to not swallow properly, he couldn't walk or use his left side and many other things that everyone takes for granted.
He spent 2 months in hospital and then had nurses and physios come to the house for another couple of months. Since then I have had constant care off him taking him physios at the gym and is making a little progress although its slow.

Meanwhile during all this I have been my mothers carer as well, she has Renalheart failure and arthritis of the knees, but she's and 85 year old plucky and strong individual and really tries to carry on.
In the October she had a heart valve replacement and just before she was coming home she had to have a pacemaker fitted, after all that she wants her knees fixing. she is the bionic women, they have rebuilt her.

Then in the November I had a heart attack. I had a stent put into an artery in my heart which was 95% blocked. They managed to get me through quick because I had to care for two people who where just getting by without me.
I only had to spend about five days in hospital,  I wasn't allowed to do anything heavy for about 4 weeks. Or drive for a couple of weeks. Luckily my heart wasn't damaged too badly and still kind of works pretty well. I had several weeks of rehab and now I go to the gym.

I think its very disconcerting when you think you could have died and I feel 2012 was a bad year, but also a very lucky year. Because we all survived giving us all a second chance
